I can’t believe it’s already the second month of the year! Remember all those holiday carbs and food bingeing? Thankfully, it’s never too late to detox and get back to a healthier you. This list I include in my monthly planners will help you see whether you’re eating enough fruits and veggies to keep you in the healthy zone. It will also help you plan your groceries each week.

Because God loves you, He wants you to –

live life to the fullest (John 10:10);

love yourself (Matthew 22:39);

be in good health (3 John 2/Luke 2:52); and to,

taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8).

All of these flows from being in a loving relationship with Jesus, as your Lord and Savior:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 ESV

We will also share a fruits and veggies checklist for your kids soon!

One of our wellness mentors taught us to always have 6-9 servings of fruits and vegetables in every meal. One serving is equivalent to a fist-size serving (your fist), which is supposedly to be also the size of your heart. And also, to have a variety of at least 11-14 different kinds of fruits and veggies each week. To make it easier, our mentor adds – include your favorites in your weekly list then rotate with other varieties. I heard recently that the direction we take towards our goal is important. Simplify as you wish to make this health goal achievable. Always check with your doctor or nutritionist any fruits or vegetables you must avoid relating to your existing health conditions.

You can also write your own choice of verse or quotes to keep you going. For each week, jot down what fruits and vegetables you had. Remember to write each variety only once in the list. Then plan for your next groceries to include other varieties as well. Also keep in mind, each kind should at least have one serving (fist size) to be included in the list. If I had less than 1 serving, I still write it down, but I make sure I eat more in the following weeks or so. Again, always check with your doctor or nutritionist any fruits or vegetables you must avoid relating to your existing health conditions.

Welcome to SHAREALIFEVERSE.COM! I am Mae and this is my third blog and it’s all about inspiring Bible verses and printables. I have shared several Bible verses at my first blog PrintablesAndInspirations. God’s Word is important to me so I started this blog to create a place where I can share more about my Bible reflections and inspiring printables.  I have also asked my sister to share her designs and inspirations here. We have both grown up knowing and loving Jesus as kids. Thanks for being here and I hope you accompany us in this journey as we all continue in our walk with God.
